Healthy teeth are a matter of course for many people because we Dutch people brush and floss a lot and well. And of course we would like to keep it that way. In this article we give you tips on how to keep your teeth healthy. Read more!
Make sure you have a good diet
Try to limit the number of eating and drinking moments. This does not mean that you should eat and drink less, but it is advisable to spread this in a maximum of 7 eating moments throughout the day. The food you eat also has an influence. Soft drinks and food with a high sugar content are bad for the teeth. The rule of thumb here is that you can reserve three out of seven times for a main meal, so breakfast, lunch and dinner. You then have four eating moments left for snacks.
Brushing and flossing
In general, we Dutch are already doing this very well. But it's always good to mention it again. Brush at least twice a day (preferably three times) the way everyone has been taught in the past. Flossing only needs to be done once a day and is best done in the evening. It is also important not to consume any food after brushing your teeth in the evening and certainly no drink, besides water.
Go to the dental hygienist
A dental hygienist gives advice for healthy teeth and can see exactly where dangers lie and you should therefore better brush, floss or take other measures. Do you live in the Utrecht region? Then we recommend to Dental hygienist Galgenwaard to visit. Here they work with the latest equipment and the staff is provided with the best training. This makes it a very reliable and good dental practice.
Sometimes you have something stuck in your teeth that you just can't brush away. In this case, it is important that you remove the solid food residues with, for example, a toothpick or a brush.
